FASHION CREATIVE or CRAZY?

Fashion has been viewed and interpreted in countless ways and definitions. The industry dates back to when leafs were strewn together as coverings to the human body.Fashion is usually interchangeable with style. It refers to how something appears or the way it is expressed.fashion or style is the idea of the designer, it is an inner expression of the original thought of the individual.

So many a time at fashion shows or fashion exhibitions, you see an outfit and you go....OMG!!!....who's gonna wear that?....what would I be thinking?....or who's gonna buy that?
But taking a peek at couture fashion shows, it appears there is a harsh competition to see who could come up with the most outlandish and bizzare items of clothing that has ever been seen.for this year 2010, the designers Victor and Rolf displayed a spring/summer collection of awesome pieces with outbursts of tuiles, endless ruffles and cut-out that seemed they were made with a chain saw.
Back here in  Nigeria, which is fast becoming a fashion capital, the outfits shunned off the stable of Modella Couture always leaves the audience in awe, because of his outlandish creative pieces.
From a designers point of view, the idea is to express ones whims and fantasies, to utilise mistakes and wrong cuts to turn into fashion. Even though people in their right senses may never get to wear the pieces or much less be sold and purchased for anything other than costume parties and halloween. Thanks to the likes of Lady Gaga, with her incredible fashion sense...who would wear anything as in ANYTHING....even if it looks like a character out of a science fiction. And our own Denrele Edun, who's fashion sense and style is electrifying, captivating and controversial.

Anybody can be creative in his or her dressing style as it pleases them, as long as they are commfortable in it. And it accords them the desired message they are trying to pass across as individuals, since every individual knows what he or she wants as based on the influence of needs and concern.
Fashion, whether its being creative or utterly crazy, has the power to transform an image and make a social statement.
